My Story

I lost my husband of 17 years 4 days before Christmas, 2021. His doctor alerted us of some medical issues, but we had no idea what was to come. He lost his struggle with heart failure and my world changed.  I never thought I would lose him as he was just 56 years old. I became a widow at 47. I was blessed to have a very supportive family and true friends. We had also bought a brand new house just a few years before.  A month later my friend lost her husband unexpectedly. They worked side by side and lived in a modest home in need of repairs.  I saw first hand just how stressful and despairing it is for women who may not have the physical ability, money, or know-how to repair their homes. And so I decided to create this organization to help others. I am determined that something good will come from the loss of my husband. He always had a “soft spot” for the elderly and those in need.  Hopefully Greg will be smiling from heaven at the good that may come of this organization and all those who help.
